Breastfeeding Is Normal !

Numerous research studies have been conducted to compare the benefits of breastfeeding vs. formula feeding, and to prove that breast is best. However, it’s not just that breast is best, breast is “normal”. Biologically, it’s the normal way to feed your baby. It provides an optimal start for your baby.

This does not necessarily mean that all breastfed babies will be extraordinarily intellectual or immune to most diseases, but it does indicate that babies who are not breastfed, and instead receive breast milk substitutes, may have an increased risk of experiencing certain infectious diseases. The same increased risk also applies to their mothers. This does not mean that all children who receive breast milk substitutes will necessarily experience these health issues. Therefore, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends exclusive breastfeeding for up to six months of a baby’s life, and its continuation as a major source of nutrition up to one year. They also suggest that it is beneficial to continue breastfeeding for two years and beyond.

In addition to its immunological and nutritional aspects, breastfeeding serves as a powerful parental tool. It’s more than just feeding your baby; it’s an expression of love, care, calmness, and an easy way to connect with your baby. It’s dynamic, constantly changing in response to your baby’s needs.
